Lost Cats and Dogs

Our site has proved a very popular place to post up details of lost cats and dogs in the last year or so, unfortunately it hasn't resulted in any found companions as we had hoped and is taking up a lot of time we know could be better spent rehoming; we're also concerned that we may even be distracting people away from services which have been successful.

As a result we will keep the current lost pets posted up here for a few more months but won't be adding any new ones, please visit the following websites which offer free and very often successful services for lost cats and dogs;

From our experience we also offer the following tips;

Dogs are the most likely of companions to get lost; we recommend you supervise dogs whilst in the garden and regularly ensure the garden is secure from escape, or even worse intrusion from dog-nappers; Bull Terrier types around London and the South East are especially at risk. Dogs also get lost while off the lead, reinforce your recall command whenever you can with your canine companion!

Cats rarely get lost and are more likely to get locked in a garage, shed or empty property by mistake. Always ask your neighbours if they can check their outbuildings as the first course of action.

Also remember if you have pet insurance for dogs or cats you can usually claim several hundred pounds to help with the costs of making posters or running newspaper adverts to find your missing friend.

Can you help find this cat? Buster went missing on 29th December after moving home to the Fant area of Maidstone. Buster is a large cross Persian/Norweigen Forest cat, dark grey coloured and very timid; he rarely went out so doesn't wear a collar and isn't microchipped, but is of course very identifiable! Can you help find this cat? Kipling was last seen in Hawkinge on Thursday 19th Jan; he is very good natured, friendly, inquisitive and easily distracted; he loves being around people. Kipling has no collar but is microchipped and neutered. He is 3-4 years old, black with a white bib and tummy, very clean and loves to sleep and clean all day; he is very missed by his family. Can you help find this dog? Kerry is a 9 year old Bulldog with some distinctive features; she had an operation for cherry eye a few years ago and has beautiful brown eyes but is mostly blind now. She has a patch of hair missing on her neck and a crack on her black nose. She has a white chest and front legs with a small white patch on the back of her neck. Five foxhounds; a lemon with tan flecks Foxhound, 7 years old, a black and grey Foxhound, 4 years old, a lemon Foxhound, 2 years old, a sandy Foxhound, 5 years old and a tan and speckled Foxhound, 7 years old went missing from Blindley Heath in Surrey, all are tattooed. Can you help find this cat? Otis, a male, intact, short haired tabby with pink nose and pads, and quite a bit of white, 3 yrs old, has been missing for two weeks now from Old Lane, Crowborough. His jealous brother (now not intact) has been jealously chasing him off of late and appears to have completely driven him away. He is the original fraidy cat, but extremely gentle when coaxed, and has been since birth. He and his brother were both originally rescue cats. Can you help find this cat? Jake's owner has moved to Buckinghamshire from Ramsgate, however he is lost in Ramsgate with a microchip for an even older address. Tiger is an 8 year old tabby cat, he went missing from Joywood, Boughton Monchelsea on 23/12/07 after re-locating from Gravesend, he has a white bib and white paws and a distintive meow. He is wearing a silver collar with bell but he is not chipped. Family desperate to find him as he was the companion of a recently passed relative so please please keep an eye out for this little fellow! Max is a 7 month old short haired stripey tabby, he dissapeared from his home in Coombe Close Snodland on 13/11/07, he has a distinctive white tip on the end of his tail, white bib and white feet. he is a very friendly kitten, he was wearing his baby blue collar when he was last seen. unfortunatly max is not neutered or microchipped please if any one has seen any thing of him please getin touch. Can you help find these dogs? Eve the lurcher is 14 months old, dark red brindle in colour and stands 26" at the shoulder. Tweed is a red/grizzle Lakeland Terrier who is 10 months old. Can you help find this dog? Jessie is a 7 year old long leg spayed Jack Russell bitch. She slipped out from her home in Lodge Oak Lane Tonbridge at around 6pm on Saturday 3rd November just before the fireworks started. These would have frighten her a lot and we fear she may have run some distance to get away from them. She was wearing a brown leather collar: sadly the tag has recently fallen off. Jessie is a very bright and affectionate dog and a real character. She is sometimes not so keen with other dogs but gets on well with cats. She has a distinctive scar in her right hind leg as a result of a recent operation. Her family miss her very much and are desperate to see her home. Dylan, a 1 year old male shorthaired tabby has disappeared from his home in Grove Green. He disappeared on 17th October. He is tabby all over except for some white on his chin and a black patch on the underside of one of his back legs. He is very friendly and affectionate and microchipped. Scratchy, a neutered male tabby with white paws, bib and muzzle is 17 months old and went missing from the Sandling Road area of Maidstone on 19th August, he is missed terribly by family and sister so please let us know if you have seen him! Phoebe went missing from her home in Borstal, Rochester on 16th December though she rarely leaves the garden normally. She is 4 years old, black with a hint of brown and a few white hairs on her chest, she has a nick in her left ear with a shorthaired and fine coat.
